Testimonials

Where do I start?  CrossFit has changed my life completely!  I had gotten into a groove of bad eating, and very little exercise. I was in bad shape. I was busting out of all my clothes, and I was completely unfit and unhealthy. I was refusing to buy bigger clothes.  I had to do something different.  The normal walking on a treadmill just wasn’t going to work. I had every excuse to not workout.  Every day there was another reason of why this didn’t work for me. I wasn’t used to pushing myself to the point of feeling nauseous. I wasn’t used to being around people with this kind of intensity or seeing them in these hard workouts. I wasn’t used to the mindset that was needed to be that intense. I wasn’t used to being extraordinary. CrossFit has taught me that I can be extraordinary and proud of myself.

I am not sure what clicked.  It took months for me to be excited to go workout.  I am one of the ones that has to see the WOD in order to get my mental state ready for it.   I would look at it and say, “How can I do THAT?” I was afraid of every class.  Afraid, I wouldn’t be able to keep up, afraid I would hurt myself.  Coach Colin, Pablo and Meghan always helped me scale and feel comfortable.  They made sure I left every class proud and a little stronger.  I just had to get to class, and “Not give up.” I still tell myself this as I am struggling through a hard WOD. Then things began to change.  The WOD’s became do-able.  I realized this was from the great personal coaching that I got from each coach, as well as the support and excitement from fellow Crossfitters.  That is what truly gets you through a WOD, and brings you back for more.   I love the comrade feeling of the gym.  The atmosphere is always so energetic and fuelling. I can easily get motivated to push through to my best. It is so unique and amazing to have such a strong community of all different types of people as inspiration and support at a gym.  It is so apparent how much the Coaches and others all care about one another and want to see everyone succeed. It inspires me to keep working hard in every aspect in my life. I am going to show up and not quit.  It’s hard work, but you feel the results.  You see the results.  You are the results.  You have to put effort in to reap the benefits, and we will all support you while you do it.

Be extraordinary. Don’t quit.

Hello Mammoth CrossFit,

My name is Kris and I, along with 6 of my friends, had the honor of being the first class taught at CrossFit Mammoth. We were in Mammoth for a bachelor party and I had prearranged with Coach Colin for our friends to participate in a workout. We love CrossFit and we truly enjoyed the workout that Coach Dre put us through. The facility is great and Coach Dre was very nice and very tough. He put us through "Kelly", and let me tell you, box jumps at 8,000 feet elevation are not easy. Nonetheless, that is exactly what we were looking for. THANK YOU COLIN, THANK YOU DRE. We will definitely be back.
